Day to Date: Distinct Blouses Make All the Difference

While Boston's been drowning lately in almost an entire

month of rain-- we've only had two full days of sun in the month of June-- we're hopeful that we'll meet summer soon, and when we do, the afterwork crowd will be buzzing about patios and roofdecks with fruity cocktails and micro-brews.
As day turns to night, it's easy to only have to change segments of your outfit, or nothing at all.

The problem arise in that our favorite going out pieces tend not to be what we'd wear to work, but this season's bright, flirty blouses add something special under a blazer or cardigan by
day, and spice up your look by night. We love these three looks from Aryn K and MM Couture.

Our latest Cotton Crush: LnA

As we're sure you've noticed, we Crushettes love really soft, silky, cozy like your favorite blanket, cotton blend t-shirts that are are both flattering and flirtatious. Lines like LA Made and Daftbird have long been flying off our racks, but recently, we started carrying LnA, and we're so glad we did. This super cute LnA t-shirt was featured in Lucky for the July issue. Zipper details are a huge trend right now, and we love how they add a bit of edge to simple basics. LnA offers inspiring hues like Azure, Leaf, Crimson, Canary, Violet and Lilac that add a burst of color to any look. Soft, but sexy, these cuts are uber flattering and fit the female form just the way a tee shirt should.

.... did I mention they're made in the U.S.?

Lucky us!

If you haven't checked your mail yet, please do so now, because the pages of Lucky Magazine's July issue are blossoming with tops, bags, and jewelry that Crush carries.
That sweet little LNA t-shirt with zippered pocket in crimson? Well, the azure is in stock, the crimson and peoni... they're on their way. Says the Lucky spot, "LNA is my new go-to line for basics. I've stocked up on tees in every color, as well as lots of zippered leggings." We suggest sporting these oh-so-soft tees with your favorite jeans for a feeling better that beats comfort food to the curb.

One item in lucky is fun, two is delightful, anything past that... pure magic.

Next up: jewelry! The very fun By Boe gold-fill detailed leather rings sat next to an Ettika "Phiastos Coin" bracelet... just as they do on the counter at Crush. You know how we crush on leather jewelry with sweet little details. We love the earthy, but feminine sense of style that these pieces emit.
I'd stop there... but it'd kind of sell us short. Not only do we carry the Urban Expressions handbag that Lucky fashionistas are hunting for right now, we got the credit... and boy does http://www.shopcrushboutique.com/ look pretty on the pages of Lucky.

The faux leather bag with gold hardware and retro-inspired detail offers two large snap-closure pockets, as well as a roomy zipper compartment. Inside, you'll find the perfect number of pockets for small necessities. Compact in appearance, this medium sized handbag holds a lot, and pulls your life, and outfit, together. Right now we have it in Tan/Black, Brown/Black and Black/Grey, but if you're in love, hurry to our online store, because this bag is going fast, and could be the one that got away... even the designer is completely out.

Hot Town, Summer in the City

Last Thursday night, the Beacon Hill Summer Stroll took Crush Boutique by storm. All five of us (Rebeccca, Laura, Brianne, Jessica and Emily) were in the store to help play dress up, take pictures, and share a glass of wine with the summer strollers! We were thrilled to see many of our favorite faces, and to meet some new ones as well.

We served wine, cheese, fruit and other small bites and offered a 10% off one item discount. There was also a raffle full of items from the shops involved. Pamela Larson of Beacon Hill, who shopped at Good, was the winner. We'd like to congratulate her on the fun swag!
The store was really busy, and the line for the fitting room, very long, and we'd like to thank everyone who waited patiently. It was really fun to see all of our new pieces flying off the racks and into the fitting rooms, all going home for fun nights out, weddings, or maybe even the office.

We took tons of pictures that we'd like to share with you!

The Media Crushes on.... Crush Boutique

The ladies who Crush have had an exciting week. We've been preparing for the Beacon Hill Summer Stroll, ordering new immediate pieces, unpacking lots of new handbags, donning our new summer duds, and "Sparkle"-ing.

Last Saturday, a new line, Glam rocked our sweet little basement boutique as maxi dresses, neon minis, a strapless sweetheart neckline and a darling navy and white combo flew off our hangers. Busy? Very. Excited? Unbelievably..... And yes, we've already re-ordered some pieces and picked out some really cute, new summer styles that will arrive TODAY! (we hope!).

That's where the excitement started.

Then, on Sunday Brianne attended Sparkle 2, a fashion show at the Beacon Hill Hotel and Bistro to benefit Rosie's Place. Crush dressed two models for the event: Erica Corsano, Editor of Stuff Boston, and Sascha de Gersdorff, Executive Editor of Boston Magazine Publications. Our gorgeous gals were stunning in their Alice and Olivia and Shoshanna dresses, and really spiced up our classic boyfriend jeans and bohemian tops.

As if that weren't enough excitement, Wednesday put all of us at Crush Boutique OVER THE MOON!

Erica Corsano appeared on Fox news to discuss "Warming Trends." She covered lots of new looks, including many from Crush. We really appreciated the shout out and were glad to dress her models for the program.
